Kyra Andrews is a writer, researcher, and multimedia artist. She is a student in developmental psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University and earned her Bachelor's degree in psychology and digital media production from SUNY New Paltz.

 

Kyra has professional experience in film and television production with FX, Viacom, and Walt Disney. She also has experience teaching in NYC public schools. She is passionate about human social-emotional development and plans to develop a love curriculum that can help heal maladaptive beliefs and behaviors in children and adults worldwide. Kyra believes in the transformative power of true love and uses writing as a tool to spread awareness and raise consciousness in her community.  

Kyra pens a blog on Substack where she shares essays on love, healing, and womanhood grounded in psychological theories. She is the creator of a digital wellness zine where through visuals, essays, interviews, and poetry, she offers readers a space to learn, reflect, and grow.

 

Kyra also serves as a crisis counselor at Crisis Text Line and a young woman's division leader for Brooklyn Buddhist Center.
